DO YOU REMEMBER?
Photography maintains a close relationship with time and memories. The old and scratched photograph in the wallet used to be the classic representation of this close bond. But the truth is that nowadays most of our photographic memories are digital les we store in various devices such as phones, tablets or laptops.

We go back at them again and again and every time the picture and the memory seems to be intact. But then one day, out of a sudden, a cold message informs us that the le is corrupted and is no longer available. In that moment, maybe, the memory attached to that image and triggered by it, falls into a sudden oblivion. According to recent studies the degradation of a stored digital le starts ve years after it was created. This degradation takes place behind the everlasting appearance of the digital les.

In this project I investigate and recreate the process of degradation of digital pictures that are at the same time memories of my immediate past.
